Our Programs & Classes
Students and enthusiasts of martial arts have many reasons for their interest in the martial arts. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.
Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Eagle & Dragon Martial Arts Academy offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well. Click here to view our Weekly Class Schedule.
2010 SUMMER CAMP
Our Summer Program is designed to bring out the best in your child, by instilling confidence, motivation, respect, courtesy and the ability to say "NO" to unhealthy peer pressure.
The 2010 Summer Camp program is a fun co-ed camp which will focus on martial arts as well as charachter building.
Half-Day Camps are offered for the following weeks:
June 28 - July 1 July 12 - July 15 July 29 - July 22 July 26 - July 29 August 2 - August 4
Camp hours are 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Camp fees are as follows:
Members $65.00 per week Non-Members $85.00 per week
A deposit of $25.00 per week is required to hold your child's spot and ensure the proper amount of equipment is provided.
Please fill out the registration form and mail in along with payment to Eagle & Dragon Martial Arts Academy, 2331a Old Collinsville Rd., Belleville, IL 62221. You may also drop it off in person from 8:30 am - 9:00 pm.

A photo and liability waiver will be sent to you prior to the start of camp.

LIL DRAGON MARTIAL ARTS
The Lil Dragon program was developed specifically for children 3 through 7 of age. The "Lil Dragon" students have their own unique Skills and Achievements training. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. 3 MORE CLASSES HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE SCHEDULE!

KID KICK (Age: 8 thru 12)
Our professionally developed martial arts program for children has been designed to develop confidence and coordination in children. Our trained instuctors provide individual attention and encouragement in a fun, positive atmosphere. IT'S FUN TOO! For the kids in our program, one thing matters - FUN! Our kids have a great time in class, but we work hard to make sure the program has lasting value for each child.

TAE RYU JITSU
Tae Ryu Jitsu is art of empty hands fighting, it is a free style art. UECHIRYU Karate is our foundation. You will find it easy to learn and our instructors willing to take the time to teach you all of the basic movements and techinques. You will also enjoy our training methods and we will explain the basic principles behind our style of self-defense.
This system is made for any person that is willing and wanting to learn more then just how to defend themselves.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING
Submission Grappling
Submission Grappling teaches our students how to defend ourselves in the event that we are taken to the ground in an altercation. Through learning throws, joint locks, and submission holds students will be better able to defend themselves while standing up in close range or in the event they are on the ground.
By combining these realistic and effective systems of the martial arts a student will be better able to defend themselves in any situation they may conceivably find themselves. Where most systems of martial arts focus mainly on one area of techniques, our mixed martial arts approach allows us to train a well rounded student of self-protection.

FITNESS BOXING
This program are for business men or women, students, or anyone that wants to learn the western art of boxing. For the knowledge, workout and stress relief benefit that it has.
Few of the "Fitness Boxing" Students will ever fight an opponent. "There is a big difference between recreational boxing and competitive boxing, we're teaching recreational boxing. With a mixture of jump roping, punching drills, bag work, and learning how to defend themselves. The Boxing Coaches are govern by the United States Amateur Boxing, Inc. (www.usaboxing.org)

USA BOXING
EDMAA-USA Boxing Program's goal is for the betterment of the youth in our community. Our school has many testimonies about how a youngster was helped to realize his potential, staying away from negative influences and learning the sport of boxing, whether to advance in it, or to use it as a form of exercise and social involvement.

KICKBOXING
Are you looking for a total body workout that totally kicks butt? How about a way to increase your stamina, flexibility, and strength while listening to your favorite dance mixes?

What Is Kickboxing? Although the true roots of kickboxing date back to Asia 2,000 years ago, modern competitive kickboxing actually started in the 1970s, when American karate experts arranged competitions that allowed full-contact kicks and punches that had been banned in karate. Because of health and safety concerns, padding and protective clothing and safety rules were introduced into the sport over the years, which led to the various forms of competitive kickboxing practiced in the United States today. The forms differ in the techniques used and the amount of physical contact that is allowed between the competitors.
Currently, one popular form of kickboxing is known as aerobic or cardiovascular (cardio) kickboxing, which combines elements of boxing, martial arts, and aerobics to provide overall physical conditioning and toning. Unlike other types of kickboxing, cardio kickboxing does not involve physical contact between competitors - it's a cardiovascular workout that's done because of its many benefits to the body.

CHRISTIAN BASED MARTIAL ARTS PROGRAM
WHAT IS CHRISTIAN BASED MARTIAL ARTS?
This program is designed to bring together the disciplines of martial arts movements and Christian non-denominational beliefs.
Children and adults alike will benefit from a combination of spiritual, physical and emotional fitness to improve the quality of life.
Students will learn exciting punching and kicking techniques while also improving their confidence, self-discipline, self-control and self-defense.
Students learn scripture and also strive to achieve rank. White belt though Black belt. EDMAA helps students prepare for and pass testing, thus improving confidence.
